A Really Different Place
My Trip to the Grand Canyon
My trip to the Grand Canyon was really fun. My grandma took my mom, aunt,
cousin, and me for my birthday and my cousin’s birthday.
When we got there we
rented a car. We rented a red KIA. After that we went to a hotel. We stayed
there for about 3-4 days and then we got on the train to go to the Grand
Canyon. It took about 45-50 minutes. Then when we arrived we hopped on the bus
to go to the Grand Canyon. It was amazing! It looked like a million mountains
carved into the rock! I took many pictures. After we spent a few minutes at the
beautiful sight we got back on the bus to find another hotel to stay in. We
found a hotel that had cabins for us to sleep in. It was really cool!
The next day my mom
thought the bus was going to leave at 10:00 to go to the only restaurant in the
area but instead it left at 9:00 so we had to walk there! It was a good walk
though because we saw deer along the way. When we got to the restaurant we had
to wait a while because it was packed! We finally got a table though. While we
were waiting for our food I started a really fun game. We had to say everything
backwards. We were laughing so hard the manger had to hush us.
On our last day in
Arizona we went to the gift shop. I got an old fashioned clock and so did my
cousin. After we got our souvenirs we hopped back on the train to go home. We
had a great time in Arizona and I would love to go back.
